On Saturday, November 7th, UWM students, faculty, and staff will help clean up neighborhoods and winterize the homes of local older adults from 9:00am-1:00pm. Volunteers will help local older adults with tasks such as raking leaves, clearing garden beds, cleaning patios, and sometimes moving lawn chairs.
You can register as a group or as an individual by going to their website (Make a Difference Day – Center for Student Experience and Talent) or by emailing Andy West at west9@uwm.edu and telling him your group's name, team captain name, and a list of your group members ful names, emails, and phone numbers.
Make a Difference Day is a great opportunity to volunteer with your student organization, serve your community, and create a bonding experience that will give everyone something great to put on their resumes.
